About Me

My coaching way of being has developed over many years. I’ve always been fascinated in the human potential to accomplish the most incredible things, but also to discover hope and happiness out of the darkest of situations.

With a background that bridges the arts and sciences, creative and sporting worlds, participation and performance environments, I bring a unique perspective to my coaching practice. My skill set blends solutions-focussed approaches with the more existential and transformational.

Graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Fine Art I started my professional life as a teacher of art, before immersing myself in my other passion of sport. I've held national roles as a coach mentor and Road Running Manager with England Athletics, as well as working on England and Great Britain performance teams. One thing I love about the coaching process is helping indiviudals to find the artist or the sporting hero within, to create and achieve, whatever their goal.

Through both art and sport I have witnessed human accomplishment in many forms, with many benefits, but sometimes at a significant personal cost. Physical and psychological wellbeing has always been at the core of my coaching philosophy. This was brought into sharp focus at a personal level when in 2020 a stroke presented me with some new life challenges. The experience led me to a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching, and research into post-traumatic growth.

Ultimately what I love about coaching is helping people to flourish in life, to achieve their goals no matter how big or small, and from a place of wellbeing.
